		<description>I&#039;ve been looking for a comfortable and very lightweight mattress for a while.  To date, I opt for heavier and more comfortable than lighter and less comfortable.

I can certainly see your point about the importance of getting a good nights sleep in helping the body recover and prepare for the next days run, hike, climb cycle, or indeed, whatever! 

This piece did not intend to be an advice article as such but more of an introduction to new technology, but I think that comment will prompt us to write in more depth about Thermarest mattresses and how to choose one.

		<description>personally, i sleep on a Prolite 3 mat - at under 600g perfect for getting a good night&#039;s sleep after marching all day without the weight of others!  

something i dont think you stressed enough was how getting a good night sleep is amongst the most important things you can do for yourself when on multi-day hikes or whatever.    

thermarest are great though and they&#039;re why ive had two in the last 10 years.
