We can proudly announce that in just 2 weeks we will be selling an excellent range of Lightwave tents.

Update: Lightwave Tents are now available! See Lightwave Tents here!!!

Here at CheapTents.com, we truly love lightweight tents that can take a bit of battering from the weather people face in the UK and beyond. It’s why we have become so fond of the build-quality of the Lightwave range of tents. We think they are certainly amongst the best tents available and don’t use the words ‘best tents’ lightly!

The Range of Lightwave Tents

To get a feel for the range of Lightwave tents that we will be selling, here’s a list of the tents and with technical features and specifications to follow:

Lightwave T0 Trek Tent (that’s a ‘zero’ after the ‘T’)

Lightwave T1 Trek tent

Lightwave T2 Trek XT Tent

Lightwave G1 Ion Tent

Lightwave G1 Ultra Tent

Lightwave ‘T0 Trek’ Tent

The Lightwave T0 trek tent is very likely to be one if the big his of the Lightwave tent range. It’s durable and weighs just 1.5kg, and of course keeps you more than comfortable with plenty of space too. Here’s a bit of blurb on the Lightwave T0 Trek tent…

The t0 trek is a lightweight one-person tunnel tent that we believe is one of the most weatherproof solo shelters available.

Its wedge-shaped inner gives space where it’s needed – round the head and shoulders – and its aerodynamic two-pole shape outperforms the rest of the field in bad weather.

The t0 trek is ideal for backpacking and trekking for solo travelers. However, it is also surprisingly spacious and can take two adults at a pinch, making it popular for two-person teams in mountain marathons and similar events. The porch area is small but can be made more spacious by unpegging the front of the inner tent and folding this back.

It is a four-season tent suitable for most climates and regions, although in extreme conditions secure pitching and anchoring are obviously imperative.

As an all-rounder lightweight tent, sounds like we have got a real bargain on our hands!

Despite its apparent size, roomy inner and cavernous vestibule, it still weighs comfortably less than 3.0 kg. This combination of space and low weight, plus its excellent all-year-round performance, make the t2 trek xt one of our best sellers in Europe and the UK. It is versatile enough to be used for winter camping, wilderness trekking, cycle touring or base camp use – we have lost track of the number of places around the world where the t2 trek xt has turned up.

Lightwave G1 Ion Tent

The Lightwave g1 ion tent is a lightweight two-person, three-pole semi-geodesic tent that is ideal for camping and travels around the world.

Having a high-cut fly and large mesh panels on the inner, it is optimised for warmer climates. (You might find it cool in more wintry conditions). Although the flysheet is sufficiently water-resistant for four-season use, its high-cut baseline means the inner is more vulnerable to splashing in hard rainfall.

The g1 ion is very light and easy to pitch, but being the smallest two-person tent in the Lightwave range, some people may prefer the larger g2 ion. It nevertheless retains a generous porch area and excellent headroom.

Lightwave g1 Ultra Tent

The Lightwave g1 ultra is an exceptionally lightweight and compact two-person, three-pole semi-geodesic tent that is ideal for long backpacking trips where the weight of every item has to be kept to a minimum.

Its free-standing inner and small footprint make it easy to position and pitch in the most awkward camping sites, making it ideal for travelling or trekking in rocky regions.

Although the g1 is the smallest of the Lightwave two-person tents, it still has a generous vestibule, but it may not suit larger people. At a complete weight of 2.1 kg, the g1 ultra is probably the lightest tent of its type without compromising its durability or genuine four-season performance.
